Lawrence L. Lewis III graduated from Louisiana State University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1970, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Louisiana State University Law Center. He also received an LL.M. in Taxation from Southern Methodist University.
Larry is a former Chair of the Section of Taxation of the Louisiana State Bar Association and a former Chair of the Specialization Board (Taxation) of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He has also given numerous presentations at professional and client seminars and meetings in the areas of taxation, estate planning and administration and business entities.
Larry has been with Onebane Law Firm since 1970. He practices in the firm’s Business and Commercial practice group and represents business clients in business entity formation and governance, business acquisitions and dispositions, business succession planning, business disputes, federal, state, and local taxation and all matters pertaining to family and closely held businesses. He also represents individuals and families in all aspects of estate planning, probate, and estate administration, including wills, trusts, transfer tax planning, successions, and estate related disputes.
Larry and his wife, Sharon, have been married for more than 50 years and have one son, Jeffrey. In his leisure time, Larry enjoys golf, travel, LSU football and baseball, fishing, and spending time with his family.
