Harold L. Domingue, Jr. received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1981 and obtained his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University in 1985. Following a clerkship with the Chief Judge of the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal, Harold established a law office and has practiced for 34 years with an emphasis on bankruptcy liquidations and reorganizations, business formation, collections, real estate transactions, estate planning, interdictions, successions, and trusts.
Harold has been recognized by both Acadiana Profile magazine and the Times of Acadiana as a top lawyer in the practice areas of both bankruptcy and successions for several years in a row. He joined Onebane Law Firm as an Of Counsel attorney in the Business and Commercial Section, primarily in the areas of estate planning, successions and trusts, business formation, collections, interdictions, and other elder law matters.

Harold is an active participant of Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers, a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, and the Southwest Louisiana Bankruptcy Bar Association. In 2013, he was the recipient of the Louisiana Supreme Court’s Pro Publico Service award for the pro bono work performed for many years throughout the community. For over twenty years, he has served on the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions as an assistant examiner of bar examinations for both Civil Code II relative to wills, successions and trusts, and Civil Code III relative to commercial transactions.
Harold is active in the community with many years devoted to work in his church parish, several non-profit organizations, and participates in various Mardi Gras activities. He is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette and is most proud of his longtime association with Rotary International, in which he recently served as Governor of an area covering 53 clubs in South Louisiana.
Harold’s passions include travel, fitness, and supporting UL Ragin Cajun Baseball from his seats behind home plate that he has held for the past 30 years. Harold and his wife, Monica, have been married for 42 years and are the proud parents of three children and two grandchildren.
